Roblox is deploying AI to scan in game chats with the view of weeding out predatory behaviour and harmful content.
The immensely popular children's game has been subject to criticism and multiple lawsuits for failing to protect it's users from harm.
This article explores some of the issues on the platform that every #parent should read it.

I'm interested in Online Privacy and Security. OSINT enthusiast.
Do your kids play games like Roblox?
Online games can be a great way for kids to create, learn, and connect — but there are also risks, especially when chat features are involved.
If you're a parent, it helps to know how these games work and what to look out for.
I'm hoping you'll take time out to read and share my blog post.

Protecting Children’s Online Privacy | Privacy Reboot Blog - Privacy Reboot
How to protect children’s online privacy when sharing photos at home, in schools, and across social media.
Genuinely fascinated with #nostr and amazed that if people find your input valuable they can literally send you #bitcoin where else will you find a community like that? #grownostr
There is a time and a place for social media.
Share whatever you want with whoever you want but know the risks.
You can be doxxed and can be cancelled.
You personal life can be shared and trawled over by the Internet. As an adult that's a chance you take and the decision is yours.
If you're a child though oftentimes you dont have input into whether you are photographed or whether your image is uploaded onto a school website or a sporting club.
In years to come these kids could be subject to doxxing, AI deepfakes or other unwanted attention with little recourse to take the images down.
Kids dont have that informed consent and it's up to parents, clubs and schools to make well informed decisions going forward as responsible care givers.

Rethinking Routine: Children’s Photo Privacy in Schools and Clubs - Privacy Reboot
Why children’s photo privacy in schools and clubs needs rethinking — and how better systems can reduce long-term digital exposure risk.
I love playing around with OSINT and learning about how people can be found online.
Infact I'd say if you are a fan of privacy in general you should take some time out of your day to OSINT yourself. You'll probably find old social media posts to tidy up and delete. Deactivate those old accounts and tidy up your online presence.
Stay private where you can, you just never know when someone is going to shine the spotlight on you and start looking at your life.
Social media and news articles are littered with people who have experienced cancel culture or been thrust into the spotlight for various reasons (good and bad).
Take your privacy seriously, shut down an account or two today.
You'll feel better for it I promise.
One less account that can be be breached.

Every time you look up someone on social media you are giving the platforms a clue.
Every group you join, every photo you like, another clue.
The clue you give them helps them paint a picture of you and build out a network of your associates and interests.
The topics you are served and the groups you see are never ending and aimed to keep you engaged and to serve you ads.
Those platforms have their feelers and tracking cookies scattered across the internet feeding even more information back about you, your habits and interests.
That's social media in a nutshell. You tell your friends i was talking about holidays the other day and i started getting advertisements about travel.
That's no accident you're the product. I'm not saying don't use social media just we aware of how things really are and make your own decision in an informed way.
