I was seeing all this talk about big tech implementing digital id stuff across the globe this week, and I was thinking about how Bitcoiners and the Cypherpunks need their own bretton-woods-like meeting or something right now. A gathering to put the world on a different path. I'll throw an unofficial beefsteak or meatup if yall wanna get together. I have a vision of something.

They are doing a pincer move. Simultaneously introducing legislation for digital ID and legislation to ban pirate sites that host torrent links. The push is so strong all at once. This is literally what nostr, Bitcoin, and every cypherpunk movement has been training for. Builders need to act fast and work together.

We thought they were gonna have to "9/11 the internet" to implement digital identity. Turns out the government has been listening to the people saying "you can just do things."
