GM Nostr! Happy Saturday! So my wife keeps getting texts (4-5 per day) from the Democratic party, asking her to vote for Harris. But they're from a state she hasn't lived in for a quarter century! And they are offering to send her a ballot so she can vote absentee in that state! Again she hasn't lived there for 25 years, has moved 3 times since she lived there (and has continued to vote in those new addresses--all in different states). And (get this) they are offering to PAY her (now technically that's to "talk to her friends" so they can say they aren't paying for her vote, but you can certainly read between the lines here). And yes, it's a "battleground" state... Still think the elections aren't corrupt? I need a coffee... #coffeechain

3D printing - is it truly useful at this point? (Or just a gimmick for making toys?) #asknostr I'm thinking of getting into 3D, but wanted to get some opinions as to how folks are really using their printers...I can see some usefulness beyond the "toys" that seem to populate thingiverse, but wanted to get opinions. GM Nostr! Happy Wednesday! So my wife likes to feed the local birds, and it's time to buy more bird seed... Looked up her (well the birds') preferred seed - and it's selling now for $44.50... Last October (yes, literally a year ago) that same bird seed was $24.50! (Looked up last year's invoice on Amazon.) I know birdseed isn't probably included in the government's inflation calculations, but that's virtually double in just a year. Birdseed... Don't let anyone tell you inflation is "only" 3%... (And if the destruction of our economy by the current administration isn't your top voting issue, well...) Definitely need a cup of coffee to calm me down... #coffeechain #inflation
