There is a general malaise in the air. Prices go up. Quality goes down. Sizes get smaller. Our schools are cranking out braindead foot soldiers of the cultural revolution. Our healthcare has never been so expensive and so crushingly frustrating. The service is getting worse, yet requests for tips have exploded. Things just don’t seem to work right. Every empire and every money has its cycle. Evidence of its twilight is everywhere. We must prepare for the painful end of one paradigm and the beautiful beginning of a more prosperous one.
