Check out this #bitcoin address: bc1qpt7c23c0wep9e8up4ywn070w3tqz3828ngy34aj8slsfxrh08ddqsukgtf It's derived from a simple script: [OP_ADD, <5>, OP_EQUAL]. Funds were sent to it and remained untouched for hours. Are there really no bots scanning for these types of addresses? 😅

While discussing transaction filtering, it's crucial to remember the core principle: nodes, not miners, should drive what's included in the chain, because nodes enforce network rules, ensuring decentralization. This pic is very disappointing. Caring about the chain is crucial for the future of Bitcoin. Bitcoin has value only because of the nodes that run it, all efforts should aim to increase node counts.

Nodes safeguard the integrity of the #Bitcoin network, ensuring its uniqueness and security. Miners need to honor nodes choices rather than bypass them with out-of-band transactions. We must challenge this undermining of our network. The current state is frankly pathetic.

While we all cherish the decentralized freedom #bitcoin offers, it's crucial to talk about the impact of spam transactions on the network. These not only bloat the blockchain but also slow down our nodes. Let's prioritize network health for a more robust Bitcoin ecosystem!

I believe the current fork proposals (except for consensus cleanup) are an attack on #Bitcoin. We don't need bigger blocks or denser transactions. We need stability on the base layer and to build better layers on top. #Lightning and #eCash are good examples of what we can do if we focus on what is important instead of trying to kill the base layer.
