There are days i look out at the world and i see darkness, chaos and to quote Yeats "Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; mere anarchy is loosed upon the world." And there are much better days where i realise that the world gets it right, and produces such a sculpture of beauty that it stirs mens souls to bare any burden in the quest to slay the rough beast that is slouching towards bethlehem. One of several black current bushes given a much needed winter trim. Also decided to straighten up the bed edging prior to digging it over. Going to dump a tonne of cow manure on this bed in a few weeks time, cover it and leave it fallow for a year.
