I've noticed there's a general trend in society these days to have and stand by very idealistic opinions.. I've seen it here on nostr and other platforms. But it's worth remembering ethics govern what we do when no-one is watching. Ideals are a luxury granted by the illusion of safety. When the lights dont work when you flip the switch. When water dosen't come out of the tap when you turn it. When the cupboard is bare and the children have stopped crying because there never is enough food. When you queue for hrs because of a rumour. When your family leave or worse die, when medical care is a distant memory. Idealisim quickly meets reality. I'm not educated enough to know if Trumps actions are morally or idealisticly right. Or wrong. But i am smart enough to wait 24 hrs. I have also read enough Machiavelli to summarise it thus :- Londo Molari-" But we have treaty's !! " Lord Refa- " ink on a page !! I'm running a DIY #Start9 server on a mini PC. It's constantly becoming unseeable by my main network PC and i get a whitescreen when i login to it at least once a week. I also get this message. First sunset of 2026 and it's a beautiful pink hue. Despite the contrails it's quite beautiful 😁 Had some time to finially work on the shedshop. The last open gable is sealed up and the door is fitted. All that is left is the ridge cap and to paint. One day I'll even figure out where to put a window. It's not the best well built shedshop. The car is certainly giving me a run for my money.... Got the indicator relay swapped out earlier in the week so thats fixed. She sailed through her MOT monday. Christmas day she died on my way to the folks.. 😱 Got the battery off yesterday and charged overnight. Just been to refit it and the positive terminal just fell apart. Looks like there was a crack down oneside. That would explain why she just lost all electrical power as i was driving and why the battery was on such a low charge. Off into my local town centre to pick up some new terminals... hopefully back on the road in a few hrs 👍🏻 #uk #brits #car #problems #fiat #moneypit
