The headline is misleading.
You can say that there are 27m minority fork sats of fee on the minority side, however, it's not possible to say it's valued at $17,400. That presumes that the USD exchange rate is at parity across both chains. The info that can be gleaned from the minority fork block subsidy and/or txn fees can only be denominated in minority fork tokens currently.
There have to be people exchanging bitcoin or dollars for the minority chain token in order to be able to denominate in USD.
Used to seeing better info from this npub.

There was a great Livera pod with Michael Flaxman some years ago about using multiple key sources for multisig, SLP215. Another good one was SLP97.
One could make a 2 of 2 out of a HW device and a hot wallet on sparrow/electrum, back up the hot wallet super well and even in usually unrecommended ways (seed on post-it on monitor, or on the fridge) and it is more secure than the HW device alone. HW device could be 100% pwned... no dice for attacker though.
Adding another signer can never decrease security...at worst, keeps same security as the first signer alone. With any multisig, be sure to keep copies of that wallet file (aka output descriptors) accessible.
