Greg Judy also had a great talk and many great answers to the questions of the crowd. Lunch was good then at the end of they day was a cattle auction with some of the best South Poll cattle from around the country. I come from a log line of quick thinkers. I can usually see where something is going before getting there. If we are working together I may be laying out the next steps to save us time. When I encounter someone that isn't as quick and has to be explained each step extensively I get frustrated. The small Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is a great break from the sand and salt. Most zoos really push conservation but none use permaculture or other regenative ag practices. Function stacking is something I think about often. When I saw what Edison Motors is doing with EV/Hybrid semi trucks all I could think about is putting the same thing in a class A RV. In an RV you already have a generator to run the AC and people are adding batteries to extend the time they can be off the grid. In an EV/hybrid setup the batteries would serve double duty and you would only need the one generator to charge and the batteries. You could also call this a plug in hybrid with the right setup. Adding solar to the roof would be icing on the cake. What if you have a large 5th wheel toy hauler? Today's recommendation is a whole series of books by John D MacDonald the Travis McGee series https://www.goodreads.com/series/52264-travis-mcgee. I learned about Travis McGee from Mike Rowe. Mike discussed the books in his podcast about how Travis took his retirement a little at a time he would work a big job then retire for a few months before he starts the next one. Mike Rowe decided that he would live this same way big jobs that make good money then retire between them. I enjoyed the 5 or 6 books that I have read in the Travis McGee series.
