GM, today I am grateful to be talking to @Max about what @bitcoinplebdev , @Erik Cason and I will be building in 2025. Thank you to all who have built the foundations of Bitcoin and NOSTR. It’s going to be wild to reflect on this when we’re old.

There’s no such thing as being a bitcoiner beyond some common values about money. Some are cynical, some relentlessly optimistic, some build, some tear down at every corner, some do both! Some are libertarians, some are statists, some are confused in between. Some are Christians, some are Jews, some are neither (atheist). Some want riches and the Bitcoin dollar, they don’t care about a social credit system, as long as they get rich - while others want private payments and don’t care about the riches at all. What we all seem to agree on, is that the money is fucked and it is the highest order of priorities, as everything else is downstream of this (monopoly on law, violence, communications). What other common ground do we all share? #asknostr

This quote is from @Alekandar Svetski's new book ‘The Bushido Of Bitcoin’, to kick off the section about courage. I’m really enjoying this book, and I’m really excited to do something courageous this year with the brother @Erik Cason . I have a lot of hope for my family, friends and future generations generally. For the first 5 years of being in Bitcoin, I thought it was going to be incredibly dangerous, that the state would have noticed that ‘We the people’ have not only figured out that fiat is their ‘ring of power’, and we are going to destroy it, but they seemingly haven’t yet and now the Trojan horse is now inside the city walls, while they’re busy buying wBTC (lol). It took 3 years further to come out of my shell further, and now I know, the state is retarded and doomed (for now), they will figure out the game sooner or later. Regardless of when, fiat, their ring, is about to meet its destruction, as we hurdle towards the end of the long term debt cycle. It [the state, an amalgamation of evil, injustice, centralization and corruption] will be back, in some way, but without the monopoly on money, it will struggle to retain a monopoly on violence. So I suspect it will largely be defanged, but like any wild animal backed into a corner, it could get ugly, but given its retardation, I suspect it will be smoother and far less confrontational than I initially imagined. Fear was the mind killer, and it was all in my head.
