“Well… this paragraph seems quite prophetic to what’s happening today…” - dirtbag commenting on this pastebin from 2012! Line 1335. If I were the US Government and had co-opted the "core" Bitcoin dev team, you know what I'd do? I'd encourage ground-up alternate implementations knowing damn well that the kind of people dumb enough to work on them expecting to create a viable competitor anytime soon aren't going to succeed. Every time anyone tried mining with one, I'd use my knowledge of all the ways they are incompatible to fork them, making it clear they can't be trusted for mining. Then I'd go a step further and "for the good of Bitcoin" create a process by which regular soft-forks and hard-forks happened so that Bitcoin can be "improved" in various ways, maybe every six months. Of course, I'd involve those alternate implementations in some IETF-like standards process for show, but all I would have to do to keep them marginalized and the majority of hashing power using the approved official implementation is slip the odd consensus bug into their code; remember how it was recently leaked that the NSA spends $250 million a year on efforts to insert flaws into encryption standards and commercial products. With changes every six months the alts will never keep up. Having accomplished political control, the next step is pushing the development of the Bitcoin core protocol in ways that further my goals, such as scalability solutions that at best allow for auditing, rather waiting until protocols are developed, tested, and accepted by the community that support fully decentralized mining.

This is a great pod, because, while Bitcoin is money, it touches everything in the political apparatus, in such a unique way, that it’s so much more. It changes the dynamic of the state, the sovereign, who not only creates the law and paradoxically dwells both in and outside the law - but now the “citizen”, the individual, also gets to choose the exception, as there is no financial dependence and capital flight is much more accessible. This means that the sovereign will be increasingly less able to debase the currency, which means the representation of the citizenry will need to be engaged further. You want xyz war? You’ll have to raise taxes, you will have to get consent and buy in from the people. Their cronies and those closer to the monetary spigot will increasingly be less able to rent seek simply because of their proximity to the money printer, now you’ll have to be productive like the rest of us. “Don’t tread on me” is transitioning to “can’t tread on me”. “Our” (mine, but I think Bitcoiners, and I hope yours too) mission is to ensure we don’t suffer the same fate is gold - capture through convenience (someone else taking responsibility for your custody) and centralization, which enables rehypothecation. It’s “our” duty to ensure the Bitcoin Dollar does not become the standard. Many will likely not care, as the Bitcoin dollar standard will make them rich, but honoring the social contract, honoring God, requires us to be lower time preferenced. Therefore, we must self custody - otherwise you are trusting, not verifying. We must care about the damn spam filters (not saying for, or against, just that we care), because we must be economic nodes (“merchants” & full archival nodes) who care about block sizes , UTXO bloat and initial download and sync times - the cost to run a node. In order to participate in these conversations, perhaps you, like me, will be ostracized for stupid opinions. So be it, it’s how you learn, by jumping in and testing what you think you know - strong opinions, held lightly. If “we” fail, we’re likely still rich (although, those who don’t self custody may not be, because they may have just IOU’s), but we (and our future generations) still enter into the social credit system, and that is completely unacceptable on every level. I will do everything I can to overcome or avoid that. He who has the Bitcoin makes the exception > He who the gold makes the rules It’s so amazing to be on this journey, and I pray we overcome this inherent globalist / Zionist / “They” evil sooner rather than later. “If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace." image

My first contribution to @pleb_devs was merged 😇 I added Zap Threads, from @franzap. Now, any course, video or document will have threaded web commenting, built on NOSTR! Paid content will require payment before anyone can comment. Check it out: plebdevs.com For any devs out there, you should look to help @bitcoinplebdev and I make the best NOSTR client 🤝 website possible. We’re making plebdevs generic and customizable, so you can have your own instance!

Made a design for a family members birthday, thought I’d share it. What’s cool’s with AI, is not just that designers can program some basic FE stuff, it’s that it’s a two way street! Devs can now more easily make cool designs! image
