An easy way to Shift your perspective is to become conscious of why you are doing a particular activity.
Are you doing it because you are feeling good, happy and thriving ?
Or are you doing it to make you feel good, happy and thriving?
An important Realization is that your Mind is just as infinitely deep as your perception of outer space and the Universe. What this means though is that You are in the middle.
You Are the Center of the Universe.
The phenomena of "Surprise" happens when the chain of prediction of what should happen next is interrupted.
The brain takes in about 11 million bits of information per second. Yet the conscious mind can only process about 50 to 130 bits per second. Meaning, 99.9% of incoming data is filtered out and the brain makes a prediction using past experiences.
