Thats already the case. "I have nothing to hide" is the common phrase I want to punch people for. Surely, this does not help at all, but I still feel the need to. Also, in my own family these are the common views. Point 3 is just kinda true though. They are just too comfortable to deal with it, and me, as the complete opposite, I look "extreme" to them and "kinda crazy". But they are also Etatists that still think "state does not want to harm me, they want to protect everybody" They won´t think twice with Digital ID or E-Euro. Big concern of mine. Family matters. image

I´m searching for a Google Pixel on Kleinanzeigen (like Craigslist I guess), and the challenge is to buy it with Bitcoin only. After more than 10 offers, no deal. The last one answered the following (translated): "Hey Phantom, we would rather take the money. Because we don´t know how Bitcoin works and we are also not interested in Bitcoin. Greetings." At least she was nice... the nice once are rare. But thats also sad...and they don´t even know how sad that is.

I've had a first taste of what it's like to have a Digital-ID and digital Driver's license...well...sort of. Here is the story: I'm a skydiver and our german association decided (probably initiated by the state, but that's just an assumption) to switch from a paper insurence and membership card, to digital. Here is the kicker. I never asked for an account, no AGB bullshit you have to agree to, nothing. They just made a profile and I just received the credentials, with my email, and my personal data on there (of course). On my request to delete all my data and send me the 2 required items via postal service, they told me that's not possible anymore and if I intent to delete all my data, they can do so but then I'll have to send in my License, which will lose validity immediately. So either I have to accept it, or I can't jump in my country anymore. Imagine the same scenario with your drivers license. 😉 Yeah.... It sucks already...

Just met a neighbor. -11°C outside, he's scratching his windshield. Car not running. I was asking "why aren't you running the car to heat it up while scratching" He replied: "because it's not allowed" Sad state of obedience in Germany. If you don't even "rebel" with such simple things... How can you ever become ungovernable?!

Another discussion with my father about state and libertarism. In Germany we do have a very strict gun/weapons law. He thinks voting for afd will change everything and no one shall bear arms. We "just need to get all the filth out". Weapons are unnecessary and "affect killings in a family shall not happen" (because criminals getting guns anyway was not point enough...) And Germany during the time he was young was good. So was the compulsory military service, needed because of the Russian and DDR threat. "this is not possible with free choice so you just have to". The worst part is, I know how he thinks and I know once he let's go of the old habbits he would see it as clear as I do. I know it, he's my father, but the chicken coop with all the comforts and benefits of "custodial responsibily" the state resembles (that the state actually shits on, at every occasion) is just too nice. Okay, in your 60s it's probably hard to let go and look at it from a different POV, but it's just frustrating to see freedom capable people praising the "chicken coop manager."
