Bitchat needs some more users.
@jack
Hello. A couple of comments on Bitchat.
I did use location data from my phone. It shows location information right down to my street area. Could you please have a user setting which could limit the location accuracy. For example I may only want to see down to city. I am not sure how the app handles that information but I would prefer the ability to limit it somewhat. I also noticed that after I denied location access the location data remained in the app. The way I deleted it was to activate my VPN where by the location data went back to “searching”. Could you have a setting that deletes that data once location access has been denied.
So far it’s a pretty good app. Reminds me of chat rooms in the 90’s. Thank you.
Bitcoin closes the week strong above 119k.

With all the speculation around who moved 80k Bitcoin, I don’t see much talk about it being a good thing that the Bitcoin was moved from an older style address to a safer address possibly removing it from the unsafe wallet attack wallets. I do see there may be a link to the day as well. Moving Bitcoin on July 4th could show whoever did it sticking a finger up to the banking system which is on holidays.
A timely reminder.
A bank may approve your transaction.
Bitcoin will confirm your transaction.
Living in the provinces of the Philippines after living in Dubai for 13 years is such a humbling contrast. I wake up every day to nature. The green overwhelming, after years of brown desert sand. Nature is beautiful.
Hyperinflation. The 1 dollar bill was printed in July 2006. The 50 billion was printed in may 2008.

Got my lightning node running again. It has been an interesting learning curve. Rebalance. Loop in. Loop out. Finding good channels.

Oops. Sent 21 sats to a scammer.
With all the arguments going on about Bitcoin Core or Bitcoin Knots… one thing is glaringly obvious. There are not enough people running nodes. Not by a long shot.
Bitcoin’s Price: Debasement & Adoption—Two Fingers, One Hand
Fiat debasement and adoption are key drivers of Bitcoin’s price, but they’re not the same.
Debasement—when fiat currencies lose value due to inflation or money printing—makes Bitcoin’s fixed 21M supply a compelling hedge, pushing its price up as fiat weakens.
Adoption, meanwhile, grows from more people, businesses, or institutions using or holding Bitcoin, spiking demand.
While distinct, they’re linked: debasement often fuels adoption as folks flee failing currencies, like in hyperinflation-hit countries. Together, they form a powerful feedback loop, driving Bitcoin’s value.
