GM. Don't even have to look to see the pump, I just need to see the Rektbot going nuts.

GM. Not going to dox anything, but I have fixed all of the network issues in my location by moving to OpenWRT. Fantastic hardware.
GM. Parents are here still, wonderful.
GM, parents in town to visit for the week. Hug your parents if you still have them.
GM, Ill be posting a few videos from a friend of mine who has a YT channel who has had a few videos taken down.
https://youtu.be/dhjXdCyuN0U Some of you know that I have one foot in the Bitcoin world and one in the Tesla world. Farzad (the channel owner here) worked for Tesla and is now a content creator around Tesla in Austin. He has been dipping his toe in the Bitcoin world over the last few years. Here, he discusses the "What's the problem?" video with its creator Joe Bryan, with Joe clearly and articulately explaining inflation, the big red button, money printing, and why Bitcoin is the only solution to the problem. GM, by the way:)
Amazing how even simple incentives work.
I teach a Senior-level marketing class at a large state school. Over the weekend, my six teams of 4 apiece were tasked with coming up with business ideas based on SpaceX's 75$/Kg to orbit data. They are allowed to send anything they want to orbit for 75$/Kg.
I have a bag of dollar-store toys that I use for prizes in class. Once they knew there was a prize for first place (judged by their peers) they went from competitive to ruthless. Covering their mouths when talking, hiding in the corners of the classroom, taunting the other teams, etc.
Their final deliverable (along with their content and slide deck) was a 2 minute pitch video that they had to create. I gave no guidance other than what needed to be in it, but they had to figure out how to make it.
The winning team was space-based pharmaceuticals, but that wasn't the funniest. The second place team, "SpaceDeath" would launch your remains into low-Earth orbit and have you burn up in the atmosphere for the price of a traditional cremation. Their presentation was hilarious.
Anyway, the winning students got to pick from the prize bag without looking. One got a keychain laser pointer, one got a Tesla Matchbox car, and one got a glowing bracelet. The envy in the classroom was palpable:)
GM, just got to the part of the year where it's pitch black in the morning.
GM. I have a used Raspberry Pi 4 running Umbrel and a fully synced Bitcoin node. It has a cooling fan/heat sink and a 1 TB external drive that the node is on On this older hardware, a full sync took about eight days. Core 29, Electrs, and mempool.space installed and fully working. The fan sometimes makes a bit of a buzzing noise, but if you lightly tap the fan it stops.
I'd like to get .0017 BTC (approximately 200$ USD) shipped anywhere in the US. You are paying to not have to wait for a week+ to sync. You should be able to plug in and go (after a short sync to catch up the chain during shipping).
I might have GMed already, but I want to ask a question: I have about 100 short clips of me doing guitar lessons from the dark times that I made for my students and friends when they had questions. They are all short (1-3 mins). Should I just post them to Nostr and just stream them? Would you check them out?
GM, I'm syncing a Pi 4 and it's been 9 days:)
If you understand this post, I want to follow you.
GM. Does anyone have any experience with the OpenWRT One router hardware they are now selling via aliexpress?
GM. Looks like Summer is over, and Fall is in the air.
GM. Ill just say that I missed on an instrument that I have been stalking for years, showed up on FB 30 miles south of me, and it just sold. Unlikely Ill get a chance at one again. Bummer.
GM. About to start a Nostr instrument shop. Wish me luck. Bitcoin only.
GM, short week this week.
Is there a NOSTR/Umbrel native storefront app for selling things? I have a few guitars and some studio equipment I want to put up for sale.
I got stung by a rogue Yellowjacket on the back of my head. It hurts.
GM. Really starting to dig into the Alberta/Saskatchewan separatist movement. Wondering which is more likely to be supported, statehood in the USA or independence. Any of my followers a part of this discussion?
GM. First day of school for my daughter. She is so stoked:)
