I know musicโs not the biggest thing here (yet), but Iโve got some serious hopes thatโll change in 2026. It honestly feels like the perfect place for music to thrive, donโt you think? โชโซ

I grew up in Norrland, in the north of Sweden, where winters are long and the landscape is raw and unforgiving. That environment shaped how I make music. In winter, when everything is reduced to cold, silence, and snow, you learn to endure and understand what creativity really means. I feel at home in the wilderness, among frozen lakes, white forests, dark nights, and open skies. That sense of resilience, of moving through winter toward light, is at the heart of 'Unbreakable'.

Proof of Work: Artist Edition
Coming from a long stretch on legacy platforms, I just realized something obvious: even though I've already shared some music here, I've barely posted photos or material from my journey.
Which is a bit strange, since Iโm here to share what I do.
So Iโm going to start changing that. Iโll be sharing old and new material (photos, recordings, fragments), not as nostalgia, but as context. I want this page to actually reflect where I come from and what I do, to feel more like an artist page.
Nostr feels refreshing in all the right ways. A lot of whatโs broken or exhausting about legacy platforms simply doesnโt exist here. Thatโs a huge part of the appeal, and Iโm convinced this place will grow into something really important. For me, it already is.
The challenge, of course, is that for artists who already have decades of listeners and followers elsewhere, Nostr feels like starting from zero again. Most of the people who care about my work arenโt here yet, and without an established music-focused audience and their favorite artists, itโs not immediately clear why they would be.
So instead of waiting, Iโll build my presence here from the ground up once again. By showing the work. By making this place feel familiar when curiosity eventually kicks in for those who follow me on other platforms.
Another real challenge is discoverability. Iโm brand new here as an artist, and while there are some great music podcasts, like Lightning Thrashes by @Sir Libre which have been very kind in helping spread the word, they are still few and far between. Beyond that, discoverability is still evolving. Early efforts exist, but itโs not yet easy for music lovers to find a broad range of handmade music.
Bitcoiners and builders laid the groundwork. Now itโs time to widen the circle. Not by returning to fiat culture or centralized platforms, but by bringing more art, music, and human signal into the mix, which I believe will benefit Nostr as it grows.
Lately Iโve been thinking a lot about value-for-value, Nostr, and how music might evolve outside the legacy industry. My sense is that weโre going to see the old and new worlds operating side by side for a number of years, each serving different audiences, before anything fully settles into its final form.
Itโs probably unrealistic to expect many established legacy artists to join this space anytime soon. The reasons are many, including long-lasting contracts, increased financial uncertainty, and limited ways to reach genuine music fans. The two worlds arenโt very compatible and donโt translate well into each other.
It may be far more likely to see a new class of established artists emerge entirely within the v4v universe. Their street cred would be sky-high, since it would come from genuine listener support rather than marketing budgets or corporate hype.
I think we only need a handful of real success stories before things start spreading organically. Artists who are creating because they actually have something to say are probably the first ones who will get curious about this model. They are often underserved in the legacy world.
People often point to the Radiohead โpay what you wantโ release as a successful example of direct fan support. It was an important moment, but it does not fully translate here. Today, v4v largely relies on Bitcoin, which still limits the size of the potential support. That friction will likely decrease over time.
What could really accelerate adoption is the possibility for artists to earn meaningful income while reaching an audience that is actively looking for new, independent music. If that happens, it would not only strengthen v4v as a model, but also help onboard more people to Bitcoin itself. I think this is still early, and Iโm curious to see where it goes. The potential for a bright future is definitely here.
