I do not enjoy interacting with toxic people.
If you're going to waste trillions, at least "waste" it on increasing power production capabilities, I would tell the United States government.

Without reasonable boundaries, you cannot have a highly functional identity and life.
This is the same logic as, "More humans will cause shortages in food."
More demand incentivizes people to create more production, which creates more competition, which then drives prices lower.

What will actually happen is stranded and wasted (and there is a lot) energy will stop being wasted and stranded, more energy production capacity will be built, and just as food prices have gone down the more people exist (food is also energy potential), energy prices will come down and be cheaper than ever for more people everywhere.
