Being able to mute spam on Nostr is the best. Kind of like muting spam on not Core 30.

This quote epitomizes my journey. For years I wondered why I saw so many examples of societal conduct that seemed stupid and would cause problems for them down the road, and even near term problems, and I wondered why they insisted on continuing to behave stupidly, and at times also try to force me to participate in their stupidity. I felt very frustrated because it made no sense to me, but I would still get punished for not going along at times. Then I read, "Curse of the High IQ" by Aaron Clarey and felt noticable catharsis and relief from frustration, because then I realized society isn't geared in ways that make sense. It's geared in ways that retarded people can handle, which is way more people than I had realized. Because I couldn't adjust to a maladjusted society, I thought there was something wrong with me. But it turned out my seeming inability to get comfortable with a nonsensically run society said far less about my problems, and far more about how dumb most people are. And then God more or less taught me how to love all the dumb, nonsensical people without judgement or condescension. It can still be hard at times, but by God's enabling, I still love all the stupid people and occasionally discover someone who is highly intelligent, and then we can have fun together. So when I found the Bitcoin community, I found a bunch of highly intelligent people and it felt like home to me in some sense. I still find stupid people in the Bitcoin community, or intelligent people who are dysfunctional or bad actors, but at least my debates with people on Nostr and in the Bitcoin community are about things that actually matter instead of about things that seems obviously stupid and wrong. So, thank you Nostr and Bitcoin community for being far less agreeable to societal retardation and not going along as much with their narratives and for much less being whiny idiots, and giving me a place to feel far less frustrated because I won't pretend the comfort of mentally ill people in partnership with a toxic and dysfunctional culture is normal. You guys rock. image

Often enough, "helping" people without asking for their permission, is actually dishonoring them.

The thing I love about reality is that when people violate it, and then it bends and then snaps back into it's proper place, it isn't reality that punished them, it's the violator who punished themselves. So, since reality can handle anyone's actions, and will deal out pain to violators, I get to sit back and watch the show and still not interfere in their learning process and not be their God. Hence, I save myself so much energy and from so much stress by not interfering in their learning process. It's great 😃👍

It's hilarious to me how so many Nostriges, who don't like being told what to do, often feel free to tell other people what to do.
