You're article reminds of the general Chinese way of interacting, which is largely pushy. But I sort of enjoyed their pushiness once I got used to it, and it gave me implicit permission to be pushy back which is a side of me I don't usually let out that aggressively. But once I noticed their modus operadi, I enjoyed pushing back.
The trust level of a society is commensurate to truth worthiness of its money.
