Why exactly was Bluesky successful? The USP was basically a place that was not-Elon, and could actually achieve network effect (unlike mastodon). Decentralisation and censorship- resistance wasn't really a significant factor. Especially the latter, it's not like the vast majority of Bluesky users were getting banned (in fact they wanted more of their brand of ideological censorship).
So how did they actually achieve this network effect? Did they actively reach out to lib/left Twitter personalities? Politicians? Journalists?
