Kinda feeling like a jackass; been avoiding using Roblox Studio’s built in AI system and trying to build with ChatGPT and Gemini. Today when I ran out of Gemini credits I asked Roblox’s AI if it could fix a bug I was still working on and it fixed it in less than a minute.

I love when I google how to do something and the top result is someone telling the person who asked the question in the past to search google for the answer...
Got a walking and idle animation finished, updated the scripts to use them, updated the database to not get rid of people’s existing cat models. I think these are much cuter than the original legless models 😂
Very rough idle animation. Not happy with it yet but need to focus on working through these quickly and iterating later. Next to a walking animation.
Slowly working through the process of rigging up the new cat model 🙃

Pet Simulator progress update:
Seems like my eBay sales are returning. It makes no sense that promoting your listings would kill traffic to your items but after turning the promotion off I’ve been having sales almost daily again. Oh well, live and learn 😂
I added screenshots of the traffic and sales, if you notice the sales have gaps during the times where promotions were turned on (light blue traffic), basically the day after promotions were shut off the gaps almost went away.

It’s December, I can share this meme I stole.

I spent several hours editing a two hour podcast down to just the laughs.
Put some more time into this pet simulator project this morning. Added sounds, improved the stat bars, made the pets roll on to their side while sleeping, made them chase the objects held, moved around and refactored scripts to make it easier to add new animals later. I’d like to build a pet adoption building the users can go to to pick their first free pet and spend in game currency earned over time in the game on future pets like dogs, birds, fish, etc. probably some mythical ones as well. Mainly working on it one little feature or bug at a time. Will make the environment look nicer later.
I spent a few hours converting the Pet Simulator game into a Roblox game so my kids could play it.
Not completely done with this random thing but here’s a cat simulator lol
Three.js Cat (Tamagotchi) Simulation Code https://gemini.google.com/share/7458c8679b5f
How does diVine handle hosting of the videos?
Testing deepseek locally by having it make a tamagotchi in pygame.
Working on a tool that compares my eBay prices to the first five recently sold prices so I can determine which to adjust. Took an hour to get it working and now it’s being tested on ten items before I let it run on all 900+ cards.
Tested eBay’s promoted listings. Thought it would get more eyes on my items/more sales. Instead my sales and traffic died. Gemini thinks all the exposure to people who didn’t search for my items caused the listings to be dinged by eBay’s algorithm. I’ve disabled the ads.
I need to get some of these pillows lol

With a foot in both camps I’ve always found this thought interesting. Also have always found it funny I feel like I can’t talk about either of these with anyone.

Just reached a thousand listed items in my eBay store 🙂

Got the script that generates eBay item drafts of the processed card pictures ready and it seems to work. Not sure if I can add more fields for the item specifics but this alone will save hours when I’m doing 100 cards at a time. 🙂
