GM. Accidentally woke up at 3am and couldn’t get back to sleep. Sipping coffee and getting back to work on the card system.

For some reason, the QR code login for my daily writing app works flawlessly, but when I tried to get it copied over to my yo-yo one, bugs for days…
Started putting some time into YoYoStr again today. Just wanted to get the QR login working and then I started adding other stuff and now I don’t remember what I wanted to do before I started this
Nostr makes me think of ethereum dapps but nostr isn’t trying to be a token as well as a utility. I think it works better that way. The end result is decentralized network, no dev team that can switch out the system core by decree, and I don’t have the fear of messing up with something that costs a lot to tinker with in order to experiment with building on it.
I need to work on eBay, I need to do my taxes, I want to build this nostr daily writing app.

OK, I can log into my article app by scanning a QR code in Primal. I can make posts from it to my account… but they don’t look like articles yet. I don’t really know what I’m doing, but it’s been fun doing it.
This is only a test
This is a test of the emergency broadcast system.
I am recording my laptop and cell phone screen to show off the trial and error of getting a Nostr app to work
I’m certain it’s completely unnecessary, but I’m making a Nostr app to reduce friction for a public daily writing practice and it will include the scan to login thing Primal just talked about the other day. I’m getting the skeleton up right now. It’ll run locally initially, but ideally, it would be something that could be public for everyone.

If technology is a bell that can’t be unrung, why do so many sci-fi and fantasy stories imagine the opposite?
A human colony crosses the stars, settles on a new planet, and somewhere along the way forgets its own origins. The machines rust into scenery. History thins into rumor. New myths grow in the gaps and people come to believe the world has always been this way.
Why does that pattern show up so often? What is it in us that keeps returning to the idea that progress can be misplaced, or misremembered, or quietly rewritten into legend?

If ChatGPT had a most stated phrases leaderboard, “that’s rare” would be in the top five
If I remember right there are nostr marketplaces out there (or that could be built) and am wondering how shipping is handled? Been daydreaming about how you could go from someone paying for the listing in sats to the seller generating a shipping label in the app but am not sure how that would work. Maybe the app could integrate with existing shipping systems that support api and the user handles all the setup for that themselves?
In the middle of making a system work smoothly all I feel like is: I’ve made myself a series of roadblocks or hurdles
