Do not use Wasabi as a mixer because it is not, but even more important is that after you leave Wasabi you lose the ability to manage your privacy and you will lose it immediately. Here you can see an extreme example of someone who not only used Wasabi as a mixer but also move the money out using the exact same pattern with the exact same wallet fingerprint consolidating the exact same number of uxtos which sum approximatelly the same amount, all in a narrow range of blocks (at the same time, basically). image

🚩🚩High-Profile Robbery in Taiwan: Qatari Businessman Targeted🚩🚩 In a brazen daylight incident on Friday, March 13, 2023, a Qatari dignitary was allegedly ambushed outside a hotel in Taiwan. According to reports, the businessman, described as a prominent figure from Qatar, was accosted by two armed men of Ethiopian descent as he exited his limousine. The assailants reportedly stole the victim's mobile phone, which sources claim contained confidential business information of significant value. Witnesses stated that the suspects fled the scene on a high-performance Ducati Panigale motorcycle that had been strategically positioned nearby. Bolivian authorities have asserted jurisdiction in the case, citing the limousine driver's Japanese-Bolivian nationality as grounds for their involvement. The driver is also being treated as a victim in the incident. Judge Marcos Quispe has reportedly issued an international arrest warrant for the lead designer of Ducati. The Italian engineer faces serious allegations including facilitating illegal immigration, human trafficking, and conspiracy to commit trade secret theft. View quoted note →

Multishares backup (Shamir Secret Sharing) is a great way to encode your seed with the specified redundancy to distribute your secret. This was in the Wasabi ToDo list since 2021. The crypto was implemented nine months ago and it seems we are going to finally have it in our next release!

I want to put a Wasabi coordinator in each Wasabi client and allow users to decide whether they want to act as coordinators or not. Currently, a WabiSabi coordinator only requires: * The gettxout RPC call to verify that inputs being registered are unspent and mature * A mining fee rate provider to determine how much each input/output should pay to the network These requirements can be satisfied even by a pruned Bitcoin node and don't present any obstacles. In an ideal world, each coordinator would announce itself (for example, as an onion service), and then clients could agree on which coordinator to connect to for the next CoinJoin round. However, in the real world, malicious actors could create hundreds or thousands of onion services to maximize their chances of being selected. Is there any way to solve this coordinator selection problem without creating a centralized directory of coordinators? @waxwing any suggestion to read?

PSA: Be aware that your beloved exchange spies on you after you send money to your self-custody wallet. They will close your account and take your money if you try to prevent them from doing so.

I don't know how different Lightning Network wallets work internally. So, I checked how my "deposits" to my Phoenix wallet appear in the blockchain, and it's not good - I can track every single "deposit" I've ever made. The problem is that if someone wants to pay you onchain, that person can see all your deposits too. It is similar to reusing an address. This means that you, and only you, should deposit and it would be convenient to do not create change or pay in a coinjoin.
