I am a white male born in the UK who can code so my options are plentiful and I have a decent income and an OK amount of Bitcoin (we can always have more). For a long time, I have wondered what the best method of charitable giving is. I have tried effective altruism, social capitalism giving 10% of every invoice to charity and everything in between.
I have settled on a couple of small businesses (may add another soon) that are profitable though the profits do not change my life they certainly are not for loss.
Through these 2 businesses which are a nail salon and a property rental company (for my properties), I employ 6 people. As I am not worried about this as a source of income for myself I can pay wages higher (not so much however I am still a capitalist) which makes for happy employees. That said one of my employees is leaving to start her nail salon and I could not be happier as now she will hire several people and it will continue.
This to me is the best way to give and it also scratches the capitalist itch I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of giving to charity to consider this instead.

Let's face everyone here using nostr had the idea, own your own data secure it with your keys but it was shourded in the creative mist as great ideas often are
it took fiatjaf to fully form the idea and execute on the idea.
Just did my first tip on nostr :]
The more I dive into nostr the more excited I become.
People are the worst. Nostr is like 3 minutes old and the Global tab is already unusable due to spam.
