New protest strategy: If you see an add for a store or service, refuse to be their customer. Make advertisement counterproductive.
The problem with people who reduce and dismiss anything deemed "conspiracy theory" is the shear naivety. While sometimes it has to do with an unbreakable emotional attachment to believing a comfortable narrative that conforms to a soft and cozy world view, it always boils down to an inability or a refusal to accept the lengths that some people are will to go to control everyone else.
It's only a matter of time before nanobots become a legitimate threat. First people will post about it hesitantly, saying they're having weird symptoms they can't quite explain. Then doctors will come out saying they've found them, and they'll lose their license for touting "conspiracy theories". Then the government will begin bashing the people saying they've been affected. Then there will be minor disclosure to the tune of "I mean we have nanobots, but we don't use them on you." Then it will slowly just become common knowledge. Same playbook. New chaos. So we have that to look forward to.
