In my feelings today because Jenny Wood has passed.
If you lived in Wichita, you knew her or saw her play (before the accident in 2019 that killed her mother and niece, and gave Jenny a 5% chance of living). Or both.
She moved to Nashville after the wreck, after forgiving the woman who drove the stolen car that struck her family’s vehicle, and if I remember correctly, the PD took the blame for the chase down Broadway. Not one soul in that story, which I covered that day, belonged in it. A tragedy beyond measure.
Jenny worked in her final years at a food bank in Nashville. She played until recently, when she had to stop.
What matters is her heart, her talent. May that voice and that kind of love for other humans that she had live on. 😢
