I successfully got Amethyst imported into Android studio the quickly realized that I have no clue about Android development anymore. Apparently there's another language to learn, Kotlin. 🙁

My chickens in the brooder are starting to get feathers, so the race is on to get my chicken coop finished.
I repurposed an old 4x6 shed. I reskinned it with plywood, and cut in a door for retrieving eggs. I also made the nesting box walls hinged for easy cleaning.
I made it so the front door opens completely for easy cleaning. Also it has a smaller chicken door that slides up and down.
I took a power window mechanism out of an old car and made it so it can raise and lower the chicken door with a solar panel and a 12v battery.
I plan to make it automated with a raspberry pi zero. With a manual override. I still need to get all the components and design everything but it shouldn't be too difficult.
