It seems like madness but one can vote third party and still want Kamala to beat Trump, and vice versa if you're right-leaning. I just voted for Chase Oliver cause Jill Stein was kicked off the Nevada ballot. I may disagree with him on lots of issues but he got me on his stance on the Genocide.
If Harris loses, one of the many false narratives for who to blame would be that Biden would've won if the party establishment got behind him.
Some say that Harris would deal differently with Isreal and that she's only aligning with Biden cause she wants to win the election. There was a time I bought into that point of view. If that's in fact true, then because she would be eyeing re-election, she won't do anything different for 4 years.
Whenever I see on the news that Isreal strikes a particular location, my mind replaces the word 'Isreal' with the 'US'. We are really the ones doing the strikes and killing lots of people. It goes without saying that without our support, there would be no strikes.
Even if the far right were to succeed in taking over the government and do a lot of bad stuff, it still wouldn't measure up to the genocide we have wrought on Palestinians in Gaza.
Is there an Arc browser developer somewhere on this app? I've got a question. I submitted the question through the proper channels but just trying my luck here as well.
@openvibe.bsky.social The new dark mode has two issues; it doesn't work on the compose field and it turns off when one leaves or closes the app and comes back on. I.e it reverts back to the previous theme every time.

Elon Musk is morphing into Trump 2. I can see him running for and winning the Presidency as a republican after Trump is done. Imagine being on the left and driving a Trump car, or in this case, a Musk car. At that time, his name would be just as detestable as that of Trump.
Imagine taking a pill and sleeping for just an hour but it gives you all the benefit of sleeping for over 8 hours. That's the sort of advancement in medicine that I need. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
If one's intention is to vote third party, the wrong move for Democrats is to vote shame them as that would only solidify their position. Vote shaming is even more damaging when used on someone who is torn between third party and voting Dem. Where they may have voted Dem, it closes that option.
This compose feature is one of the best @openvibe.bsky.social Features. I hope you guys never scrap it. image
As you get old, you start noticing and appreciating the little things in life, like the air that hits your feet as soon as you take your socks off.
Aside from the ongoing genocide, they should start asking people whether they condemn the terrorist attacks by Israel on September 17 and 18.
I'm going to say this; the only way to stop the democratic party from kicking third parties off the ballot, is to work with republicans who like Dems, falsely think that it's going to help their cause. Leftist third parties have to also play dirty as a means of fighting these undemocratic moves.
The latest smear on Jill Stein is that to get back on the ballot in Nevada, she is wrong for hiring a lawyer who once represented Trump. Do you think if she hired a lawyer who is sympathetic to the Democratic party, they'd let her back in? Leftists can and should play politics too.
Most people wouldn't risk their lives to protest against injustice and that's okay. I'm in that category. I just wish they wouldn't go about making fun of those who do. It's disgusting. Rest in peace Matt Nelson.
To be brutally honest, Kamala's parents are the main reason why I might vote for her. Being the daughter of a Marxist and a civil rights activist, anti-oppressive/anti-genocide values must've been instilled in her. I'm willing to take a gamble that she'd betray AIPAC and do right by Palestinians.
I'm fickle once again on Kamala tbh. I might end up voting for her but only because there is a chance that she'd be tough on Netanyahu. She threaded the line better than she's done in the past when talking about Israel and Palestine.
