Posting day number 2!
I'm on a roll
Yesterday's golf game didn't go so well (114) but I had a great time as always
Today we start putting out the #Tomato #seedlings for a full exposure to the elements for a couple hours until the first of April.
I'll spend a couple hours on the plots to get them ready for the plantings of Tomatoes, Peppers, Squashes, Brassicas, Beans and Leafy Lettuce's.
I hope to have a good year of learning as this will be my biggest and diverse #garden to date.
I will be putting all of
@Jack Spirko
Teachings into place as well as a couple of my own established methods.
Remember! You can't grow good plants without good #soil and good soil takes time to cultivate.
It's never too late to begin growing good soil.

Trying to engrain the #grownostr habit and post here more often but like all drugs, X has a firm hold on my thumb typing.
In any case, the spring is here in central coast #California, the seedlings are ready to be hardened soon, the plots are behind but easily readied and by the first week of April the 2 main plots will be planted.
#Golf is the main course today! Salinas Fairways is a challenging municipal course and will take me away from my mini-homestead duties for just a day with plenty of sunlight left to get s couple of good chores done before dinner.

Have a Great Day and Be Good to Yourself

To my family, friends, and followers
I appreciate your support during these difficult days and in the days ahead. I’m sure I don’t need to explain my decision to step back and remain silent during this family emergency.
However, writing is my outlet, my release, and my way of expressing emotions that may not always come through in my podcasts.
"Character" is a funny way to describe myself as The Weather’d Soul, but right now, I am being truly weathered—growing—as I navigate this period of my life.
There is no doubt that I am the same person off-camera and off-mic as I am when recording. Could I continue my regular schedule of shows while this is happening? Absolutely.
But the problem is that I wouldn’t be true to myself. I can’t be The Soul when, right now, I’m leaning on the strength of my God to guide me through this path.
Through my spiritual journey, I’ve come to realize that I am powerless over things I cannot control—and that I don’t want to control. So I choose to take the backseat, to ride through the experience without needing to be the driver. I hope you understand that analogy.
Trials and pitfalls, triumphs and struggles—they all come at a cost. Reality hits when and where it wants, and I can't control that.
So I control what I can, submit to what I must, and trust that when I emerge from this fire, I may be burnt and a little charred, but I will be a stronger, better version of myself.
The Weather’d Soul will be back with The Report and The View.
But remember—if a soul stays hard like a rock, it will always be just a rock. My soul is like soft clay, shaped by time and experience.
More Weather’d upon my return.
I’ll be back soon.
Be good to yourself.
This morning, I am at a loss for words, but I’m going to attempt to write objectively and clearly.
This statement I’m starting with might upset those of you who are permanently set on hating our president. So, it should come as no surprise that I firmly support his efforts to act as a negotiating catalyst between President Zelensky and President Putin in the terrible war in Ukraine.
However, allow me to interject this statement:
"There must be a decorum practiced when a foreign dignitary visits our nation’s capital."
Plain and simple. President Zelensky does not embrace that decorum.
Throughout the history of the former Soviet Union—its demise and the rise of the Russian Federation—I can say with confidence that I’ve witnessed a healthy dose of its story unfold.
Russia has been an ally; Russia has been an enemy. They’ve never attacked Western soil. The only reason Russia is our enemy is their opposing political beliefs and nuclear weapons.
Ukraine and Russia have cultural, political, and social ties to the region, and it doesn’t matter who’s the attacked or the aggressor.
Since the dissolution of the USSR, Ukraine has been its own country since 1991. The borders between these two nations have been contentious since Ukraine’s independence. Speaking with friends I personally know, there are regions within Ukraine that wanted to remain part of the Russian state.
Ukraine and these regions have been at odds with each other ever since.
I need not dive into the politics of Ukraine, for the powers running that government have been compromised by the same forces that helped it become independent. (’Nuff said.)
Putin is a ruthless, evil dictator. Let’s not forget this. Time and time again, Putin has proven himself untrustworthy and difficult to negotiate with.
Zelensky ran on an anti-corruption platform that landslide him into the presidency of Ukraine. His past is irrelevant, though one could say it mirrors President Trump’s lack of political experience.
And speaking of Trump, let’s talk about that shitshow in the Oval Office on February 28th. Zelensky strolled in, probably expecting some grand deal on minerals or peace talks, and instead got screamed at by Trump and Vance like a kid who didn’t say “thank you” fast enough. Trump’s hollering about “gambling with World War III” and Zelensky firing back about Putin’s broken promises—it was a damn circus. Neither of these clowns looked like they wanted peace; Trump just wanted gratitude, and Zelensky wanted a blank check. Respect? Decorum? Out the window. Trump kicked him out like a bad date, and I’m sitting here thinking, “Great, this is our guy negotiating with Putin?” What a mess.
This attempt at bringing peace between these two countries is dangerous, and in my opinion, we should walk away and let the chips fall where they may.
The world is not our problem, and my trust in both of these leaders is not held in high regard.
The United States of America has far more pressing issues to worry about than getting involved in a region compromised by the resource-grabbing games leaders want to play.
This is a European, Slavic, Russian problem, and we should have never entered this quagmire. But here we are!
There must be respect when a foreign leader visits this country—and vice versa.
No leader should expect business as usual when they come with their hands out, begging for assistance.
Whether it’s by grant, loan, or otherwise, those leaders should feel a sense of commitment to those who help them. Zelensky wants too much and risks our relationships with our contentious foes.
Likewise, Putin should take notice. I believe Trump will take just as hard a line with the Russian president as he did with Zelensky.
However, no act Trump ever takes will change the minds of those who hate him.
In conclusion, I hate war, I hate dictators, and I hate corruption in government. It doesn’t matter who’s behind it. We’ve traveled so far down this road that it’s going to take trust in “less corrupt” individuals to fix it, because frankly…
We get the chance every four years to change our government, but you’ll forever vote Red or Blue no matter who’s running.
The Red is corrupt. So is the Blue. You vote for winners because you still have a high school mentality. It’s time to grow up.
In my final statement:
Elon, Zelensky… buy a fucking suit and tie.
