Comparing the latest data on the Braiins Mining Insights dashboard to a video I did 1 year ago.
Foundry + AntPool still about 56% of total (although share has shifted significantly away from Ant and towards Foundry in that time).
Is 2025 the year we finally get serious about decentralizing Bitcoin mining (i.e. block template creation)? 🤔
2024 saw a lot of encouraging developments but so far the needle hasn’t moved in a structurally meaningful way.
Lesson: censorship resistance is essential regardless of who is in power. Perhaps now it becomes clearer too why Elon was so aggressively down-ranking anything and everything related to Nostr in the early days...

Meanwhile, my experience on Nostr is getting better and better (clients like Primal improving at an incredible pace, growing albeit still limited diversity of topics/content, more genuine interactions/engagement).
Will be reallocating my time accordingly in 2025 🫡
