why is vscode bitching about not having an OS keyring available why does it want to play with my keyring

"websites have amazing functionality now" yeah because the browser has become an OS in an OS on top of an OS that's not a good thing, and it is *wildly* inefficient. the browser tax is enormous, it's like 3-5% efficient in general and sometimes less than 1% you've got an 8 core 4.5 ghz machine and doing shit in the browser feels worse than using a native application on a 200 mhz pentium. but hey, you can have lots of bad experiences in parallel now instead of one at a time!
