How many #Bitcoin do you need to retire? I've been listening to the speculation. They say about 5 BTC! What a load of bullocks. I don't know how much these Podcasters make, but 5 BTC is about 150k dollars and that's a shitload of money for a worker. Practically nobody is going to amass that amount anymore. But let me recalculate. A normal person can comfortably live on 30k a year in hand. That's 2500 dollars a month, free to spend. If we can agree that Bitcoin goes to 1 million a coin. You will need 1 bitcoin to live out 33 years solely on that one Bitcoin. Not taking in to account the value increase of bitcoin over those 33 years. 1 bitcoin is more than enough to retire at age 50. Unless you are greedy, lazy or a wasteful person, than you'll need 5 times that. But I know a lot of normal people... and none of them want a Lambo. Volkswagen is fine. They don't want to piss away 1k on a bottle of champagne. 50 bucks for fermented grapes is the absolute top. Normal people want financial security. Food on the table and control over their own time. That's a lot cheaper than the jetset life style these people have in mind. ONE Bitcoin. And you can pay yourself what your boss pays you. You won't be rich, but at least your time is your own.

#Bitcoin has elongated my time preference. So much so, that I'm having ideas that take so long to complete, I won't even live to see the completion. I'm thinking about buying up some cheap agricultural land and plant olive trees. But olive trees need to mature. The trees will yield in 75 years and I will be celebrating my 109th birthday. I won't reap any benefit, but if I start this now, with a 150k loan, my grandchildren will have a fully matured olive farm to expedite.. 🤔 It'll be a million a year crop yield.
