well, you’re here… so Hi 👋
#Activity1 #ShareYourBCHStory @Nengste1 From First Sats to Falling in Love It was January 2021 when my colleague introduced noise.cash to me. I was skeptical at first, like... ahhh okay. But I didn't try to register right away. From time to time, I heard them talking about noise.cash, and it made me more interested. I eventually asked her to send me the link so I could register. After a month, I finally decided to create my noise.cash account. My goal was simple. To earn Php 10.00 worth of BCH every day. My spare time was allocated to "noising" alone. I didn't even notice how I already accumulated more or less Php 3,000.00 worth of BCH. That was the time when BCH captured my full interest. I started watching YouTube videos, reading articles, and following influential people in the BCH world. As a "crypto toddler," I still had a lot to learn about BCH, so I kept researching. I still continue to educate myself so that one day I can truly become crypto literate. I started investing in BCH even though it was only a small amount, as little as $1 to $10, until I managed to accumulate enough funds to invest in DEXs, NFTs, and staking. It was July 2021 when BCH traded between $414 and $550. I had never been this excited about Bitcoin Cash. I spent sleepless nights monitoring charts and airdrops, and it was all worth it. BCH introduced me to a world I never imagined I'd be part of. It introduced me to a community I didn't even know existed. I found friends online and learned a lot about cryptocurrency, especially BCH. Through noise.cash, I also started writing short articles on read.cash about BCH... yeah, that's how invested I became. Haha. When the market turned bearish, I was also busy juggling my full time job as a corporate girly while working part time as a Virtual Assistant. I barely had any spare time to visit Telegram groups and keep up with BCH updates. Before I knew it, I had almost forgotten about it for nearly two years. Then, in April this year, I stumbled upon something called "BCHShakespeare?" or something like that. Since it was about BCH, I checked it out, but the site was very laggy at the time. I wasn't even sure if I had successfully signed up, and eventually, I forgot about it. Then last month, my friend suddenly told me about BCHNostr, saying it was somewhat like noise.cash. She sent me the link, and it still took me a while to register because I was very busy doing nothing. Hahaha. And yeah, here I am, back in the BCH community again. Still loving the green ₿ more than the orange one after all this time. I hope this website lasts for a long time. I hope the community will continue to support it and not abuse the opportunities it offers. I love bchNostr just as much as I love BCH. What I'll never forget is the feeling of receiving my very first satoshis. It felt like a foreign currency to me. I didn't even know what to do with it, but just like that, I fell in love. And that's how my BCH journey started. I simply heard about it from a friend, invested my nights and my earnings into it, forgot about it for a while, and now here I am again, like the adult version of me rediscovering my favorite childhood toy. image
I was dumbfounded when I realized I wasn't seeing posts from most of the people I follow. So I checked... and somehow a lot of them were muted. 🤯 What? When? How? Why? I have no idea how that happened. 😂 Looks like I'll be going through each profile today to unmute everyone. image
It's the weekend! 🌸 No ideas for a post today, so our neighbor's beautiful flowers are today's main character. Can't complain though... they're gorgeous. 😊 image
Blurry photo, clear memories. ✨ Tonight was a farewell dinner for one of our coworkers who’s been with the company for 14 years. She started as a coworker, became my seatmate, and eventually became a close friend. I’m lucky to be part of a circle that turned work into something more than just… “work”. Wishing her nothing but the best on her next chapter. Cheers to new beginnings! 🥂💙 image
Heyoowwww 👋 I just notice that the community has been really active, the site keeps improving, and BCH has been pumping too... not a bad combo, eh? 🥳 It's been a busy day for me, and I'm still feeling yesterday's team building and swimming. My body's calling it a lazy night, so this is probably my only post for today. See ya’ll tomorrow. Time to recharge. 💚⚡ image
It’s honestly hard to keep up with everything happening on BCHNostr lately. 😅 Every time I check my feed, there’s a new community idea, a new challenge, or another crowdfunding campaign. I may not always be online, but it’s nice to see people building things instead of just talking about them. I really hope these initiatives encourage more people to stay active, create original content, and help grow the BCH ecosystem. At the same time, I hope we continue to value transparency. As more community funds get involved, clear goals, fair reward distribution, and open reporting will help build trust and keep these initiatives sustainable. Excited 🚀 View quoted note →
A little late for my first post today. 😅 Spent the day at our company team building, so here’s a poolside snapshot from earlier. Time to catch up on BCHNostr before calling it a night. ✨ image
Confession time… 😅 When I first joined, I thought BCHNostr was just another website. I had no idea it was connected to the broader Nostr network, where different apps all share the same protocol. So technically, we’re not just talking to BCH users. Our posts can also reach people using other Nostr clients. Pretty cool discovery. I guess that explains why some Bitcoin maxis were wondering where all the BCH posts suddenly came from. 😂 image
For everyone using iOS, check out Damus on the App Store. 🍏 It’s a Nostr client, which means you can use the same Nostr account and keys across different apps—not just BCHNostr. Since it’s built on the Nostr protocol, your identity and followers aren’t tied to a single platform. (Damus) One thing I like is that it lets you discover a much wider Nostr community. You can connect with people outside the BCH ecosystem, share your BCHNostr posts, and hopefully introduce more users to BCH along the way. More eyes on your content, more conversations, and more opportunities to grow the BCH community. image
