Starting a new book tonight. Has anyone read this? My brother-in-law clearly knows my taste 📚🫂🤙

Why does Trezor offer a 20-word seed backup schema, when most signers use 12/24?
Is it to enable more crypto-y stuff that bitcoiners don’t care about?
Do Monero users like it? (Doesn’t that use a 16 word seed?)
I guess I don’t entirely understand how a single seed phrase can serve as a private key for different coins or chains or protocols 🤔 #asknostr 🤷♂️
TL;DR - I’m very happy with my ColdCard/BitBox setup 😉

Kai, welcome to Nostr 🤙
You have absolutely come to the right place. Nostr is full of users from all sides of the sociopolitical spectrum, with a wide range of opinions, viewpoints, and lived experiences.
And yet.
In the absence of traditional social media’s advertising-revenue-model and the toxic incentives that such a model necessarily produces, you will likely find that users on the Nostr protocol are overall respectful, kind, generous, thoughtful, and curious people.
This is a rare corner of the web where people can disagree and still shake hands (or even zap one another). Where the “social algorithm” is our own best self, and where people who act like jerks are quickly ignored or muted (rather than engaged with and promoted).
Nearly two years in, I still regularly find myself surprised by how decent the people here are, despite the fact that anyone can join. To me, that’s evidence that most people aren’t that extreme or divided, despite how media portrays our culture.
Remove the toxic incentives and the algorithms they drive, and you get a much more truthful picture of the social human being 🫂
