If the concern is congested lightning channels: Possibly running nodes and managing channels will continue to evolve to more lightweight, portable, user friendly (palatable for genpop) over time, enabling the network to expand and be more efficient between now and a time of hyperbitcoinization induced congestion. Exploring alternatives like Fedimint makes sense since we can’t know for certain but I wonder about this method normalizing noncustodial solutions or accepting defeat sort of, in a way that might not be necessary. I’m still learning about this though. This is just me wondering out loud.

What’s the best illustrative example of a use case for Fedimint where it’s solving a problem bigger than the risk trade offs?
