Looking for suggestions for a Nostr client that works well with GrapheneOS on a Degoogled Pixel… Also, a good BTC wallet that would work with a Pixel and a Blockstream Jade

#GrowNostr #gaming #Everquest Anyone going to be trying the new Oakwind server when it launches? Just started on Mischief and like it there… much more active population than any of the other servers I’ve checked out. Almost like back when EQ launched in ‘99 :) Thinking I’ll be staying on Mischief, but maybe for the 25th anniversary server they’ll use the same rule set with randomized drops…

#GrowNostr #gaming #Everquest Any Everquesters on here? Any who played when it launched in March 1999? What servers have you played on, or which do you recommend these days? Going to try the new Oakwynd TLP? Or on Mischief/Thornblade? After 24 years, so much has changed, but still so many more things to do. I never had an interest in #WoW after seeing their cartoony style and pink and purple trees on a buddy’s computer. Can’t access my original account, so started a new one and have had fun exploring #Norrath again. Even as a free player, loads to do, and it helps the time go by quicker as a trucker as far as time on the road… :)

#GrowNostr #Everquest #games Started playing EQ about 2-3 weeks after it’s launch in March 1999. Been fun visiting and amazing to see how far it’s come and explore new areas during my relax time. I still think the structure of how Asheron’s Call allowed you to TRULY customize your character instead of being stuck into one class, was superior. However, EQ was far more social and that made it better for the long haul.

#GrowNostr #trucking #tsp Ah, the trucking life… 4 weeks out then 6 days home with pay, and the occasional 10 hour or 34 hour break at home in the middle! Seems a good deal compared to many trucking companies, and overall it works well for me. However, it’s trucking and you can mostly count on something odd to happen. Take this trip for example… got an extra day at home (great), got loaded up and slept in the truck since my appointment was early enough that I didn’t want to wake up the wife for a ride to my rig at 0 dark thirty. Got up and did my pretrip, drove to the shipper, checked in and found out that apparently my work order was wrong and they are short about 200 cases because they had me scheduled for 0700 TOMORROW! Sigh LOL, can laugh about dumb stuff like this or cry, generally I prefer laughter… but, still a bit frustrating! 🤪🤪🤪😂

Learning to harrow… tired of watching the soil blow away in the wind, or little gullies growing! Thankfully, my buddy loaned me a 14’ harrow and the next day his cone seed spreader, then harrowed again yesterday. Last night was driving rain for a couple hours 😱😢😂 What can a guy do? Gotta drive a truck to pay off the place, limited time to be at home working… so, I do what I can. 😉🙂 In basically 3-4 days I got the #pigs moved from the old house to new house and fenced in through some woods, seeded 65 pounds of clover and wildflower seed, and got all 3 #Layens swarm traps up so hope to catch my first #bees this year. Tired and back to the road to just work and sleep the next couple days! #GrowNostr #permies #homesteading

#GrowNostr #LGDs #homesteading Anyone else have a sorta goofy guard dog/livestock guardian dog? Our #GreatPyrenees wasn’t run over by the Gator… apparently it’s comfier under there lying on the gravel than on her pillow or flattened box or a pallet! Of course, this is the same dog that barks all night and flops down in a muddy yard to sleep… 😳😂🤣🧡

#GrowNostr #NWMissouri #KansasCity #pigs Good news, I think we may have some piglets on the way from the pigs we bought last year. Pure bred #IPPs (Idaho Pastuered Pigs), great quality lard and bacon, smaller than standard pink pigs and take longer to finish but they love grass and ragweed and eat much less feed than standards do. Follow or holler at me if interested in either registered piglets or feeders. Weaning time is about 8 weeks after birth, so will keep folks up to date. Will try to get pics also, but harder to do when on the road frequently. image

image #GrowNostr #homesteading #JackSpirko #CountryLife Thanks Jack for being such a jerk! Thanks in large part to you, I finally convinced the wife to move out of a major city almost two years ago. Now, look at this rough view we have to see since she hasn’t put up any curtains in our newly built, super efficient ICF home on 31 acres. Now, I have a longer list of chores to do every time I come home from driving a truck… but she’s happy and so are the kids, so I keep finding ways to plug away and make it as entertaining as possible! I think after we butcher the two steers we have, we are going to stick with just her #chickens and #IPPs (IdahoPastueredPigs), and my (hopefully soon) #bees with the swarm traps we built, #foddertrees, and #biochar! The goal is to get off the road in the next year or two and just work of some side hustles here… :)

image #GrowNostr #homesteading #chickens #NWMissouri My wife loves her chickens… but, I don’t understand her organization of which eggs are oldest! LOL 😂 I know, as long as they don’t have the bloom washed off they are good for 30-40 days on the counter. So many things learned from farmers and homesteaders. Why do we do so many things backwards in the USA? Many countries it is illegal to sell washed eggs… just glad we get 8-10/day from our little flock and not the store. These days 28 eggs is like $14 worth or so I think, unless you buy the crummiest commercial ones!
