GM #nostr! Thick after-rain-fog, but clearing up to a blue sky with some nice sunshine. Yesterday planted about 1000 fruittree seeds, from fruits we ate. Planted them in a channel which floods with every good rain, like the one from yesterday. The terrace I worked on has patches of standing water. Not much but 100% more than before the earthworks. Big success, but untested in a heavy rain. Earthworks, when done right is like a gift that keeps giving. Some wild boar found a tiny berm i built and filled with almonds.... yes, it ate m all and destroyed that berm. I did rebuild it yesterday before the rain, but need to replant the almonds. GM nostr well actually its noon... This morning heavy greys again. Anticipating rain... Went to the earth works terrace and sowed oats, raked them in as far as that was possible and threw some more seeds on it. Not sure if i mentioned i did another pass with the tractor, now its finally getting the shape I am working towards 🥳 So we will see what the rain shows us. The lentils i sowed on the berm start sprouting, fingers crossed they can make some roots before the drought start. Also planted some 100 quince seeds on top of a terrace wall, which will serve as windbreak and reinforce the wall. GM nostriches! Grey is good, it means spring rains or at least some humidity and less scorching sun 🙏 Today a erunning-to-the-shop day. ☕ Will get some oil n filters for the little tractor so its in shape for more earthworks. Did some yesterday when the ground dried a little after the rain. Can move lots of dirt, but only have a back blade/scraper. Anyone here with experience who can give this poor tractorer some tips?
