Funny story... one of my favorite playlists I like to listen to has dozens of long songs in it. They aren't of any specific genre, but they are all at least six minutes in length, with some over 20 minutes. Anyway, I like a good long song, as it can sometimes take you on a journey of musical sound and emotion. Two beautiful songs today... back from the 20th century... feels so funny to write that. No videos, but mp3s. I'm posting these two songs because I added them to a year end cd that I burned back in the day. I recently listened to it and loved how the two songs play together... one of pessimistic desperation and one of optimistic hope. That's kind of where I find myself today. I also like that "I Give Up" was released before "Smile". Never give up... stay hopeful... stay humble... and stack sats. Sidenote: too freakin funny...
