However hard #Bitcoin self custody is to learn for you this is the first time you have ever really held your wealth. You have a home? Where are the deeds? You have shares? Who custodies them? You bought an ETF? Who has the underlying asset?

I do like the recent line of questioning from @petermccormack if all can be self sovereign on #bitcoin. The other big conundrum as i see it is miners mine if its profitable, transactions on base chain are easier when its not expensive. There is a symbiotic relationship between the need for transactions and mining being profitable. The block wars round 2 is coming…

I am not one for TA… however for shits and giggles lets see how this plays out.

People tell me that #bitcoin is a #ponzi… an asset that cant be diluted, bought back or printed and is mathematically scarce. #stonks have dilution / buy backs. #gold is only scarce at a price #bonds are fucked #property is the only thing that comes close IMO So everything of value is a #ponzi ?

After having an SSD die on my #umbrel node some form of backup or redundancy option is needed more than I realised. Especially if you are using it to store anything important.

While I will never buy a #Bitcoin ETF their ability to stabilise the price is likely a good thing. Fund manager Bob allocates 1% of portfolio to #Bitcoin … when the price rises a lot Bob Sells to maintain the 1%. The price drops, and he buys.. this could actually save us from all the laddered longs capitulation that we see with the crazy leverage that builds up in bull markets. Price stability will likely drive further adoption as those with paper hands or those who cant risk the downs would be happier to hold / use.

How many of us would be happy having our house or car keys managed by a company for us. Where they promise to keep them secure? #Bitcoin Your Keys, Your Coins.

I do really wonder how many fund managers will allocate to #Bitcoin using the new #BitcoinETF ? I assume the majority wont at first and the early adopters may look like idiots until around the halving when the supply dries up and they start looking like hero’s. Thats when the retail pump will arrive IMO.
