Some thoughts on SAFe: Remember the original Agile Manifesto? It was written by engineers who wanted to get things done. Agile (TM) today is a cottage industry of consultants, certifications, and 'thought leaders'. I'd even assert that the commonly-associated practices run counter to the original intent. It is possible to fall into an anti-pattern of taking this too seriously! A corollary of Goodhart's law

Coincidentally, scarcity of resources is why organizational politics arises in the first place. There is no escaping this fact.

You're cozy in bed. It's a Sunday. Gently snowing outside. Nothing to do today but spend time with the fam. Make some food, read a little, go for a walk. You've made it.

All of the social media platforms are information minefields, rife with deceptive content from state actors, corporations, paid influencers and others. Their algorithms fuel our worst impulses by highlighting content that promotes anger and outrage. They strip mine our data to make money. Forcing TikTok to merge with another data-hungry social media platform won’t solve any of that. What will make a difference is establishing base-line privacy rules that prohibit companies from exploiting our data and that give us control over the algorithms used to manipulate us.
