A 8hr road trip Tmw with my kids, 11 & 12. I will listen to Atlas Shrugged for the 3rd time in an attempt to get my kids interested. IMO it is the most important novel they will ever read and should be part of the school curriculum. Wish me luck. We are heading bush to visit family…some cattle work, some kills: 3 sheep, 1 heifer… lots of butchering, a bushwalk, some swimming in the river, a bit of horse riding. Looking forward to getting back to my roots.

We should all purchase hard copies of Atlas Shrugged for posterity. Atlas Shrugged is the roadmap out of the collapse of civilisation that socialism must bring, by its very nature. Socialism destroys producers incentives to produce. No producers equals nothing for the looters (socialist) to loot and nothing for the moochers (welfare recipients) to mooch

This old guy once said to me when I asked him how he was doing, “Why complain, who would listen?” I used to think he was saying, nobody would listen because nobody cares but I’ve just had a ah,ha moment, after recently reading “Atlas Shrugged”… I now think he was saying, the quality and type of people that would listen (aka moochers/victims), the sort that would sympathise with you are not the sort of people he’d want to surround himself with. I think the producers would say, “all that might be true, but now what? What are you going to do about it? What action will you take to change your self-created circumstances that you now, no longer desire?”
