There is something incredibly satisfying about cooking and eating the beef that you’ve seen grazing on healthy grass pastures only a week ago and then been a part of the whole process, including skinning, gutting, butchering and mincing. I’m so excited to eat this later this evening. #paddocktoplate #PoW #Yum #Austriches Excited for the upcoming Bush Bush Bash, date TBA, where thanks to @Bluey we’ll get the opportunity to do this again. image
@jb55 Hey Will, just curious why my zap notifications page is so glitchy. Zaps are one of, if not the single most sticky element of Nostr/Damus and thus super important that it shows our most recent zaps ⚡️
“I hope we have once again reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: As government expands, liberty contracts.” Ronald Reagan 1989
#Nostr IS the most important development since Bitcoin. Bitcoin allows for financial independence from state. Nostr allows for the separation of information from state. However, I suspect #Nostr is even more important than that… I suspect Nostr paves the way for separation of thought from state. Due to our centralised mass education systems, we haven’t had separation of thought from church/state for over 1000years.
We are anything but ‘mad’… at least not in the sense they might think. They are all still plugged in and sleeping. Much like we were until recently. My gratitude is deep for the few that unplugged early and fought for humanity’s freedom in the 50 years before most of us even realised there was a war afoot. Now we orange pill one patrician/plebeian at a time. It is gradual at first, then sudden (once a critical mass has been achieved)… I sense this, (2024-2028) will be the Epoch of the critical mass.
I’m loving being home. It’s been so much fun being out on the cattle station this time, mostly because my kids are really getting into it. My daughter has been enjoying the process almost as much as I have. It’s so important for the kids to know where their food comes from and to not be squeamish about it.
That’s me in the back right in the pale blue shirt skinning and gutting my first sheep. Fully butchered 2 of them today. We’ll roll a heifer this afternoon and cut it up tmw morning. image
Rolled, skinned and gutted 3 sheep yesterday. Butchering after smoko. Rolling a heifer this afternoon. Love being back on the land.
A 8hr road trip Tmw with my kids, 11 & 12. I will listen to Atlas Shrugged for the 3rd time in an attempt to get my kids interested. IMO it is the most important novel they will ever read and should be part of the school curriculum. Wish me luck. We are heading bush to visit family…some cattle work, some kills: 3 sheep, 1 heifer… lots of butchering, a bushwalk, some swimming in the river, a bit of horse riding. Looking forward to getting back to my roots.
