Just posted this one over on X and YouTube. It's a bit long for Nostr but I might clip the last year and at least post that part here later today.

The Counterparty burn address aside, here's the 2nd address with the most "whole coins" (UTXOs worth exactly 100,000,000 sats).

Looks like they acquired most of their bitcoin back in 2013, spend some in 2017, then split the rest up into whole coins and have been HODLing all 342 of them ever since.
What's the story behind the 1CounterpartyXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXUWLpVr Bitcoin address? It controls the most "whole coins" (UTXOs worth exactly 100,000,000 sats) of any address. 1,283 whole coins to be exact.
What happens to really old notes? Do relays delete them after a while? It’d be cool if there was also a consensual way to delete notes, if the user could mark one for deletion or set an expiration date, at which point the relays could delete them and free up space.
The thing I don’t understand about the new IRS rules is whether any of the separate wallet accounting matters if all you ever do is buy, sell, or spend using the same exchange. And I’m assuming that moving between your own wallets still doesn’t reset the cost basis, right?
Probably gonna take a few more months to complete but this is what I’ll be primarily focused on in early 2025. Recreating the UTXO sets at every block height, analyzing them to get these metrics and then animating all of that data. Right now I’ve got genesis to block 330k complete and some of the more recent blocks.
Hopefully I don’t melt my computer keeping it running 24/7 for this. 🫠
