Nation state adoption of Bitcoin will bring about a whole new level of cope from the Bitcoin deniers and nocoiners...even though we've been trying to tell them that this was coming since the beginning. It's crazy to watch it all unfold in real time though.

I believe this epoch will surprise many by closing out with a higher return than the previous epoch. In other words, an epoch candle close higher than $461,405 in April 2028. image

Does anybody know why there were a bunch of 546 sat UTXOs being created as early as 2019? I knew of the more recent spike due to BRC-20 but didn't realize how early on 546 sats would become the most common (mode) UTXO value. image

Just helped a class of '24 boomer take more bitcoin than I'll ever own into self custody. It's a bitter sweet feeling.

You might've missed it, but Bitcoin recently hit a new all time high mining difficulty above 110 trillion. Hashrate has been absolutely ripping...making the China mining ban look like a dip for ants. image

Quick reminder that at this point post-halving during the early innings of the 2016 bull run, bitcoin had still failed to break cleanly above its 2013 all time high...and then a few weeks later, we were off to the races! image

Class of 2013 remembers their last bitcoin purchases below $100. Class of 2016 remembers their last bitcoin purchases below $1,000. Class of 2020 remembers their last bitcoin purchases below $10,000. Class of 2025 will remember their last bitcoin purchases below $100,000.

ChatGPT’s surprisingly good at color theory. If you give it a list of a few hex codes and ask what the next best color would be to add to that list, it’ll give back one that hasn’t been used yet and that matches the aesthetic of the other colors.

I may or may not have just spent the past couple hours developing a fancy progress bar for one of my python scripts. 😅 If I’m gonna be running this one for the foreseeable future, I want it to at least be nice to look at. image

My accountant just told me I need the cost basis of every zap I've ever received "as a gift" so if ya'll wouldn't mind passing along that info, that'd be great. Lol...jk. The IRS is cooked.

Can a bitcoin friendly CPA (assuming there are any on Nostr) riddle me this...? And please assume I'm a cucked normie who wants to pay taxes. If I send a single 1 sat zap on Nostr, what are the tax implications of that single zap? Even if we assume a cost basis of $0, the gain would be far less than a $1 so do we even have to technically report it? Or do we report it with a gain rounded down to $0? Now let's assume I've sent 10000 zaps, 1 sat each...what are the tax implications of those? Does each one individually round down to a $0 gain like in the original example, or are we supposed to take the sub-penny gains in aggregate and then round to the nearest dollar?
