Bitcoin’s epoch-over-epoch growth has never been squeezed this much before. It still hasn’t gone negative though. 😅

The date was October 27, 2015 and 5.24M BTC (~35% of the circulating supply at the time) had a realized price between $200-$300. Guess what happened next.

It's been 60 days since bitcoin last reached a new all time high.

What do you notice when flipping back and forth between these two days from late-2011?

“Pi-coins”: bitcoin outputs worth exactly 3.14 BTC or exactly 3.14159265 BTC.
There are currently only 50 Pi-coins in existence. Happy Pi Day! 🥧
This animation's gonna be pretty crazy...supply distribution by realized price on the right and then a price chart on the left. The scaling's a little different since it's using a hybrid log-linear scale...and then the coloring will be based on age with the same age bins as the HODL waves chart (currently working on coloring the supply distribution bars).

I'm gonna start working on the HODL wave analysis using data from my own node (currently using GN). I think I'll keep all of the same bins as before except for the "More than 10 Years" bin. I want to change that to "10 Years - 15 Years" and then add a "More than 15 Years" bin.

Bitcoin's 4-Year CAGR has dropped below 10% for the first time ever.

Blockchains aren’t magically immutable, they require massive amounts of proof of work and true decentralization to achieve immutability, plus properly aligned long term incentives to stay that way. I’m convinced Bitcoin’s the only immutable blockchain built to last forever.

Just finished updating this Number of Days Spent at a Loss bitcoin animation...do you like it better in linear scale or log scale?

Make America Ghey Again

Bitcoin has officially closed 500 days with a market cap above $1T.
I ran a simulation with 10,000 traders each starting with an account balance of $10,000 and a normal distribution (std=5%) of random daily gains and losses.
Guess how many traders ended up with a positive ROI after 4 years...the same number that lost everything.
📈📉😳

In case you didn't know, it's a lot easier to stack a whole bitcoin at $80k than it is to stack a whole bitcoin at $100k. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
