Language trigger: why do so many (native!) English speakers use the subjunctive perfect wrong? I do understand that language is in flux and changes constantly. Still, this particular ‚change‘ really gets to me every time I see it written down. Instead of modal (would, should, could) + ‘have’ people use modal + of. Not nice. 💥
