I was not prepared for 28k again so soon.

Hodl BTC, train BJJ, eat MEAT. Preferably every single day.
If you have Strike, you can be a walking Bitcoin ATM if you want to. Collect cash and send sats, or receive sats and hand over cash. A meetup is a pretty good place to try this out.
My favorite sats were earned on a small job for a wallet startup in early 2014. When I think about how these sats represent a single afternoon of work in my past, it's hard not to cackle fiendishly...
I bought my third copy (ebook, then audiobook, then hard copy) of The Bitcoin Standard from Saif in person by handing him an Opendime. Felt like a secret agent!
I bought my first sats at Wells Fargo, by walking into a local branch and depositing $40 into someone else's account and emailing them the receipt and a BTC address. A few days later, the bitcoin showed up. So glad I didn't get scammed on day 1!
I used to say, "It's all downhill after 30." I believed that from then on, becoming slowly less fit and less healthy over time was inevitable.
Then I fixed my diet, started reading about bitcoin, and signed up for BJJ classes.
That was 9 years ago. I can't really put into words how much better I look and feel in my mid 50's than I ever felt before.
Except for my eyes and ears. Vision and hearing just don't seem to be holding up as I age...
Confession: I put my whole retirement account into GBTC back when it traded at a premium. I figured at the time, and still believe, that it was better there than in some index fund.
I'd say it's been a fun ride, but really I've just been hoping for years now that Greyscale doesn't fuck me out of my money. Even though I know they probably will.
I guess I'm a bit of a shitcoiner after all...
Can confirm that this works with Tapsigner on both Sparrow Wallet on a Windows 10 PC and with Nunchuck on a Samsung Android.
I'm having fun pushing some sats around for no good reason, just so I can tap that Tapsigner and watch the magic happen...

Sure, it's nice when everything just works the first time, but I get a better feeling after struggling for a few days to finally get it right.
RE: HID Omnikey NFC reader: Simply plugging it in did not work. Sparrow seemed unaware of the device. But once I installed the drivers from (https://www3.hidglobal.com/drivers), everything works. I now have the same wallet running in Nunchuck on my phone and Sparrow on my win10 desktop. Both wallets now show the tx history fine and can create transactions. And both can only send after I tap the Tapsigner. Really really easy to use once set up, and even as a single-sig, can only send if I have the physical card and know the PIN. Feels like secret agent stuff to me. I love it!
Someone just told me (about money) that "You can't take it with you."
That's actually the current plan. I'm not leaving any bitcoin to people who think I'm in idiot for owning it.
As of now, my sats are heading into the void with me. Yours will be worth more. You're welcome.
Whoever just sent me that 100 sats, that was my first zap. Having trouble explaining how happy you just made me. Thank you!
I once shipped all my bitcoin internationally on several encrypted paper wallets. Yeah, in a cargo container. On a fucking ship. I still shiver a little sometimes when I think about this.
How do I get a "Bitcoiner" badge/icon on my profile in Nostrgram?
Lionel Shriver on Citadel Dispatch is really good! https://twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1vAxRAgELVzJl
Anyone having WoS issues this morning?
iOS keeps asking me to log in, but gives me "Network Error Please check your connection and try again." (My connection fine for all other apps.)
Android is stuck at the Read Disclosure / Start popup. After I read the disclosure, I get the same popup. When I hit Start I get the same popup again. Infinite loop.
Just bad luck with my two devices, or something wrong somewhere else? Just wondering if anyone else is having similar issues.
News flash: EVERY train is carrying “hazardous” materials….
So when the next “train carrying hazardous materials” derails, ask “what materials and in what quantities?” Before freaking out.
Yes, the Ohio one looks like a bad one, but the next bunch you hear about are probably minor incidents reported so as to elicit a particular reaction.
