"Celebrity Detective" is a weirdly persistent trope that seems to have no real connection to reality... Hercule Poirot, L from Death Note, Benoit Blanc... These characters always exist in settings where they're "world famous" for solving crimes nobody else can.
I can't think of any connection to the real world of this trope....

What's the best YouTube competitor that has at least some aspects of decentralization / sovereign monetization?
YT is one of the last social media platforms that kinda-sorta works to actually suggest content I want to see. But #enshittifcation leaves no platform behind, and I want to start thinking about how to migrate my viewing elsewhere...
New #knivesout mystery in #netflix is pretty good... I wasn't so into the 2nd one, but this felt more like a return to form for the original.

I really like how Coracle (a) allows for custom of feeds that basically blows everything else out of the water, and (b) has a perfectly workable Web of Trust already built in. Plus (c) proof of work.
One underrated aspect of this is that the WoT allows for a "Global" feed that's actually readable. Set WoT filter at ~1 or 2 and let it rip. I've found lots of good content this way.
I don't like how there's no Boosts.
Amethyst has a lot of good points, but I don't like how there's no middle ground between (1) "all of my follows, including lists of follows, and tags" and (2) just users and (3) just "default follow list"
There should be an option for (4) just tags, at least. Ideally kind 3xxxx lists like Coracle.
