GM and not-enough-sleep musing: Zaps are really the superpower of Nostr. Once (if?) this platform really takes off, zaps will be the flywheel that drives growth "to the Moon." Every other social media monetization scheme is a highly permissioned, Byzantine nightmare for the actual content creators who rely on them. Once they realize that they don't have to do any of that on Nostr, expect a flood of content creators to come here. Mark my words, the only thing holding that back is the DAU numbers.

Recent research I've done about the #mastodon bridges has allowed me to use them more effectively, and thus find content that's more interesting to me.... This has led to the thought, should I just try it out directly and join Mastodon? But then I think, nuts to that, I like having control of my own identity and permissionless monetization. I strongly believe in this "freedom ratchet" effect... Whatever your politics, once people are given sovereignty over some area of their life, it's damn tough to get them to give it back.
