'Melania' has a 99% audience score despite horrendous reviews from critics. Rotten Tomatoes says bots are not to blame.

On the Trump monkey video (not gonna link it because NSFL): I guess it's just a basic statement to make, but YES, that's racism. And yes, lots of people are still very racist. Not just (and not all) Americans, not just (and not all) white people... But this seems to be a very deeply ingrained thing of human society to view "that group" of people as sub-human. One ideal I might say I share with the "progressive project" is that we have to proactively address this, again and again, because otherwise it'll keep bubbling up.
